In these articles, I explore the concept of creating new and unprecedented video game designs aimed to promote personal growth and integration in various lines of intelligence, and how these games could be made in order to be conceptually, technically and economically feasible to be designed and spread into the market.
I also propose the creation of video games that could simultaneously (or specifically) adapt to different audiences, types, and styles of players, balancing entertainment and developmental purposes by using skillful and integrative strategies based on a Trojan Horse Approach".

Testimonials and feedback
"The articles in this issue detail some of the best work done in within the Integral Research framework, and as such help to explore what has worked and what has not worked thus far. (....) In his article, Moses Silbiger provides us with only a fraction of the details from his 200-plus page study, but offers a stimulating discussion of the implications of his findings." - Journal of Integral Theory and Practice (JITP), Volume 5, No.2, p. v) - Sean Esbjorn-Hargens, PhD, Professor, Author & Executive Editor JITP
“Press Play to Grow: Designing Video Games as ‘Trojan Horses’ to Catalyze and Integrate Human Development”, by Moses Silbiger, presents an exciting and innovative proposal for how video games might be designed to leverage interior growth and development on a macro scale. Beginning as a six-method research study for his class at JFKU, this research project seemed to ignite Silbiger’s passion and open up a whole professional trajectory for him, which he continues on today, nearly three years later. Distilling his original 200-page formal research study down into a summative discussion, Silbiger offers a (relatively) concise tour de force that demonstrates the kind of integrated narrative that conducting such preliminary research can enable. This thorough and compelling proposal is also noteworthy in that it offers a somewhat rare perspective linking individual-interior growth and transformation with collective-exterior technological systems. Moreover, Silbiger’s article provides us with a good example of how Integral Research can serve to support the kinds of innovative solutions to contemporary global issues that we are in need of—in this case, leveraging the massive techno-economic force of the video game industry in service of human development." - Journal of Integral Theory and Practice (JITP), Volume 5, No.2, p. x-xi - Nick Hedlund, MA, Guest Editor JITP

Abstract
This article explores the developmental potentials of video games, seen as an emergent interactive entertainment medium with unprecedented capacities for enacting novel educational and developmental practices. Based on three field applications of Integral Theory (Psychology, Education, Spirituality) and Integral Methodological Pluralism research, six different methodologies were applied to explore the potential applications of video games to catalyze and integrate horizontal and vertical human development (also referred as translation and transformation).
Various qualitative and quantitative studies were conducted, including phenomenological and structural analysis of the researcher; discussions with lead integral thinkers, video game critics, and designers; a public online survey; attendance of video game conferences and events; and extensive academic research into the educational and developmental potentials of video games. These potentials were not only accessed and validated by various methodological data, but also categorized and summarized into an Integral-Developmental Trojan Horse (INDENTRO) video game design framework.
The INDENTRO framework applies an underlying Trojan Horse approach for catalyzing and integrating human development through the medium of video games, based on complementary applications of the AQAL framework, Integral Life Practice, and Integral Play. This article also provides powerful insights towards the creation of novel genres of integral-developmental games, and points into the opening of new and untapped market niches in the game industry. - Journal of Integral Theory and Practice (JITP), Volume 5, No.2, p. 117
